Swarovski was founded in 1895 in the town of Wattens, Austria. From Wattens to fashion centers in Europe, transportation was easily provided by train. The founder of the company, Daniel Swarovski, started this job as an apprentice in crystal workshops. The first crystal cutting machine has been developed. Thats why, the crystals of Swarovski are as sparkling as diamonds by this cutting technique of the machine. This machine has never changed despite new technology. The same machine is still used today. At first, they produced stones for textiles and attracted fashion centers. The rising brands of that period used these stones in their brands. Swarovski then produced the crystals used in home decoration. In 1976, the first trinket was made and the trinket series was pro-duced. Jewelry production started in the 1980s. Today, Swarovski is also used in architectural areas; lighting, objects and furniture accessories are made of Swarovski stones.
